What are Rangate Knot Filler ReadyPacks?
The rods are made of polyamide nylon to give its fibrous yet flexible strength. It is NOT glue and is a great alternative to epoxy with out fumes and mixing.
- Each ReadyPack: Nine (9) ø1/2" rods at 11-1/2" long.
- If your void is ø1/2" x 1/3" deep, you can fill about 30 voids with each rod.
- Fast application without fumes and mixing.
- NOT GLUE STICKS! These ones don't gum up. They also can be sanded and applied with finish.
- Use your normal food grade finish if required.
- Outdoor or indoor, but keep away from heat source and melting point.
- Reapply and repair again if wood moves.
- Use it for repair or faux inlay, even turning.

This is the easiest product I have used to fix knots. Better than epoxy with pigment, glue and sawdust, patching, painting, filler and plugging. It's quick easy and looks great.

We ordered the ReadyBox to fill in a bunch of bad knots in pine flooring that was installed by a contractor. It’s tough to get good lumber these days. The filler more than exceeded our expectations. The heat gun is very easy to use. We practiced on a scrap board to start. By the end, we were not only filling knots from the top but also fixing knots from the side. The filler accepts stain very well. We are very satisfied with the finished product and couldn’t have done it without the Rangate Wood Filler.

The product was way over priced. There is an epoxy liquid out that when applied fills the gape and then sprays on a sealer and it’s done! It’s sold at a fraction of what I payed. I’m just being honest. Thanks

I use multiple wood fillers for different applications. I haven't found anything that will hold in the small pin holes and hair line cracks. This is the perfect product for filling those cracks that ca glue and epoxy won't

I like the idea of the product. But I’m not satisfied with the results of the product. There seems to be cracking between the product and the wood. Hard for me to trust the product on a expensive dining room table I’m building for a customer.

Great addition to my hole filling arsenal! I've only tried it on relatively small holes and knots, under 1/4" deep and less than 3/4" wide. That said, it worked flawlessly and kept me working, rather than waiting for resin to cure. Not sure it it's approved, but I found that you can carefully cut off the filler rod in the space before it enters the feed and heat chamber so you can either switch colors or, in my case, fit it back in the box without pulling out the rod (which isn't recommended).

Amazing products! Easy to use, instructions perfect.
Everything has been thought. Cooling plate and chisel saves time. Heat gun perfect and very well build. Great quality! Expensive equipment but worth the price.

The gun works extremely well and the process is very intuitive. However, I’m a bit disappointed with the look of the filled area. Looks very plastic, maybe I’m not using the right color, was on a walnut board. Already dug it out ad redid with epoxy, lot longer process but much nicer results. If I had got black versus the walnut color, might have been different, not willing to spend another $60 to find out..
Won’t be wasted, will find a use, just not in our display level boards
