This heavy-duty professional heating gun is a popular choice for applying the Rangate Knot Filler rods. This heat gun features:

While it's right for the job, it's not your only option- most adjustable temperature hot-glue guns can be used. There are two requirements of your dispensing gun: Our rod's diameter is ø12mm (a little less than 1/2") with 295mm (about 11") in length, and there are three melting points depending on the rod used. Please refer to our Rangate Knot Filler Rods' colours chart for the melting points. If you already have a heat gun that fits these two requirements, you're set.

The gun works great. I have no complains about it. Heats the filler up quickly, the prep time is very short, about a minute. it has a temperature dial to work with all the available fillers. Comes in a nice suitcase. I wish it would be possible to switch the filler without finishing it, but that can damage the gun, so better don't try it.

I needed something for white oak that had some cracks and knots. This was the perfect fit. CA glue is okay for smaller cracks, epoxy can work but is slow and I usually end up doing multiple pours. The Rangate Knot filler is quick and looks professional, I love it!
